1. What we collect
To run Jobsynq, we collect and store:
- Account information: your email address and authentication credentials (handled by Supabase Auth).
- Resume content: the text and files you upload, including work history, education, and contact details on the resume itself.
- Career intent: your stated target roles, industries, functions, locations, salary expectations, and career narrative.
- Job pipeline data: roles you save, dismiss, or apply to, and any outreach messages you draft.
- Mock interview data: your typed or spoken answers during practice interviews, and the coach reports generated from them. Voice-mode sessions involve a live audio connection to our voice provider (ElevenLabs) to generate the interviewer's speech and process your spoken responses.
- Billing information: if you upgrade to Pro, Stripe processes your payment details directly — we never see or store your full card number.
- Basic usage analytics (pages visited, feature usage) to understand what's working and fix what isn't.
2. How we use it
Your resume and career intent are used to power the features you'd expect: ranking job matches, tailoring resumes and cover letters, running fit analyses, and conducting mock interviews. We send relevant excerpts of this data to Anthropic (Claude) to generate tailored content, and to ElevenLabs to power voice-mode mock interviews. We do not sell your personal data to third parties, and we do not use your resume or interview content to train third-party AI models beyond what's necessary to generate your own results in the moment.
3. Where your data lives
Your data is stored in a private Supabase (PostgreSQL) database with row-level security enabled — meaning the database itself enforces that your data is only ever readable by your own authenticated account, not just by application logic. Voice audio during a mock interview session is streamed live to ElevenLabs for real-time processing; we do not maintain a standing library of your raw audio recordings beyond what's needed to generate the session's coach report.
4. Your controls
You can export or delete your resume, career intent, pipeline data, and interview history at any time from Settings. Deleting your account removes your underlying records from our production database, subject to any residual copies in backups, which are purged on our standard backup rotation schedule.
5. Third-party processors
We rely on the following processors to operate Jobsynq. Each handles a specific slice of your data, scoped to what their function needs:
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting.
- Anthropic (Claude) — resume tailoring, cover letters, fit analysis, and interview question/coaching generation.
- ElevenLabs — realistic voice-mode mock interviews.
- Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing.
- Vercel — application hosting and infrastructure.
6. Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and to remember basic preferences. We use lightweight, privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns — we don't run third-party advertising trackers.
7. Children
Jobsynq is not directed at, and should not be used by, anyone under 16.
8. Changes to this policy
If we materially change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
